If you are 16 years or older, a fishing license is required to take or attempt to take game fish, turtles or frogs in Arkansas, unless you are fishing in a licensed "put and take pay lake." North Arkansas trout stocking reports updated 11/29/2001. The annual stocking allotments for these areas are based upon angler usage, habitat availability, and seasonal fishing measure trends. The stocking allotment percentage for each of these areas were derived from past trout angler surveys and special creel surveys that have been conducted on various areas.
